| Travis, I just realized your entire thread relates to Kenny and not to your question. How rude of us! I personally shortened my tension rods to give me a caster of 8.5 degrees. I believe the service manual calls for 9 or 10 degrees. I shortened the rods to try to make the car hold turns a little better (at the expense of slightly less responsive turn-in). I assume your car does not pull to the left or to the right to any significant degree. My advice is to make sure your new tension rods have equal lenghts to each other. It is not necessary to match lengths to the stock tension rods, but it is a good idea. The equal lengths between left and right will be more important than the overall length though. I suggest you not make big changes in length without alignment tools. There is an alignment writeup in the auto-FAQ section if you want to tackle this yourself, or read more about caster.
